Finish off with a slip stitch and cut the yarn, leaving a 4-inch tail.

      Join the petal-colored yarn in the next single crochet stitch where you left off in the circle. Repeat the stitches in step 5 to make a second petal. Repeat this three more times for a total of five petals.
