Creating paper flowers is one of the most fun and favorite crafts of kids and adults alike and they are making a come back today just like they did many years ago. Paper flowers are a great replacement for high priced bouquets of flowers that can cost you a fortune, especially when you consider real flowers last only a week or two, and paper flowers will last for years and when you are done with them they can be put in the recycle bin to be used to make more paper, so they are eco friendly too.

Some use them as wedding decorations, on homecoming floats, for high school dances, party decorations, embellishments on gifts, or home decor decorations such as center pieces, drapery ties,and placed in bathrooms where you can add a little scent to the flowers to control odor as well as to beautify. You can make paper flowers with crepe paper or some people use tissue paper. They can be any color that you want them to be. You can scent them with different scents,aromas or embellish them with a little paint or markers. There are many styles of flowers that can be created in all different sizes.

In Mexico they are used on special occasions,events such as quinceañera (coming out ceremony for 15-year-old girls), Cinco de Mayo (commemoration of there victory over the French), and especially Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The use of paper flowers are a acknowledged part of the Mexican customs. Most of these flowers are very bold and bright and very beautiful they are handcrafted by local talented craftsmen.

Whatever the motive you have for wanting to create paper flowers, they make beautiful arrangements for any type of decorating schemes. They are so real looking that people may stop to smell them. You could buy silk, or real flowers but paper flowers will be more suitable. Now paper flowers will be flowering all over the place and at any time of the year.
